This week we have two great news:
Costa Rica Relocation has joined CINDE´s list of the selected Service Providers. For many years, CINDE (The Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency) has been successfully promoted Costa Rica abroad to attract foreign investment. As of February 4, 2010, COSTA RICA RELOCATION is part of CINDE´s Service Providers, which is a great step in consolidating our operations. This agreement will allow us to provide new investors the experience of relocating to Costa Rica while experiencing the highest level of service in the industry. This designation represents a great commitment to keep on raising the bar in the relocation business in Costa Rica, and we are up to the challenge, as our slogan calls, our ultimate goal is “MAKING YOURSELF AT HOME”.
The second new that we want to share is the designation of Mrs. Laura Chinchilla as the first woman to be elected President of Costa Rica. Last Sunday, Costa Rica celebrated its presidential elections and elected Mrs. Laura Chinchilla to lead Costa Rica for the next 4 year period. This is a milestone in Costa Rica´s history as she has become the first woman to ever be elected for President, and the fifth in all Latin America. Mrs. Chinchilla who has formerly been appointed as First Vice-President for the Arias Sánchez second term, and a former Minister of Security, won with a very large margin over Mr. Otton Solis and Mr. Otto Guevara. A new dawn arises in Costa Rica´s politics and hopefully Mrs. Chinchilla and her team will lead the country into a bright future, in which women will play a more important role in politics and society as years go by.
