As years go by, the Relocation business becomes more and more important for companies who are seeking to establish operations in Costa Rica, and also for those that have been here for a while. Amongst the most common services that the multi-national companies require we can find: search for home, migration formalities, moving, medical care, office rental, declaration of taxes, shopping at the supermarket and even find churches families. Companies also offer support to obtain the driving license, tours the city and opening hours of religious services in different churches. Irwin Soto, director of promotion of the Costa Rican Alliance of Initiatives for Development (CINDE), recently highlighted the positive impact of these companies, especially when an investor evaluates competitive advantages between different countries. “These companies are a great competitive advantage for Costa Rica”.
Venezuelan expatriate Javier Marín, Manager of Latin American Health Services -supported by Costa Rica Relocation- recently declared in “La Nación”: “The experience is very satisfying. When one reaches a new country has no family and few or no friends. A relocation company ends up becoming part of your family”. He arrived to the country in July 2009 with his wife and two sons.
The area with greater demand in relocation is San José´s West end, especially Escazú, Santa Ana and even Mora. This area supplies the demand for real estate, educational and commercial for companies that expatriate employees to Costa Rica.
